I aimed to create a Cafe and it's products based on Guatemala's essence. I was inspired by my dad, who is Guatemalan, and my many visits to the country since I was a child.
The design is purely based on the Mayas (Guatemala's Indigenous people) with their ancient art and elements representative of the country.
The Logo
The logo is inspired by Mayan hieroglyphics that can be found in the different relics of the ancient civilization.
The logo represents an indigenous face in profile.
The Art
The art style is also inspired by the mayan hieroglyphics. All of the elements are based in fauna and famous elements of Guatemala. It is also decorated with mayan fabric, a fabric often used in baby carriers, bags, table runners, wall hangings, clothing and household decorations.
